CARD 18. Solid Foundation

Card 18. Solid Foundation.

Achievement. Diligence. Solid Foundation.

Building a solid foundation for the future. Taking the time to work with diligence and focus to produce something you are proud of.

When committed to a piece of work or project, you can be assured that if the work is something you are doing from the heart, you are passionate about, it is for the good of others, it will be built on a solid foundation. This can be any kind of work, it could be of a practical nature or it may be creative in some way. It could also be a physical achievement.

This card is saying that you will achieve your goals, it’s not just about the achievement at the end, enjoying every step along the way, challenges and all. Give yourself due praise with every stage of the process you complete. It can be easy to give up on something when you don’t yet see the results you had hoped for, yet chipping away at it and trusting in yourself and the process is key, as is patience. Break your schedule into manageable steps.

I was set free because my greatest fear had been realised, and I still had my daughter who I adored, and I had an old typewriter and a big idea. And so rock bottom became a solid foundation on which to rebuild my life.” J.K.Rowling

I’m not suggesting you need to hit rock bottom to build a solid foundation for your life, however it is a great example of what can be achieved. J.K.Rowling had a typewriter and a big idea and she went for it.

Whatever you are building in your life, take this as inspiration. You may not become as famous as J.K… but it is your own personal achievement that counts. If you are doing work that you get immersed in, and enjoy, and feel it is guided by your higher self, or something deep within you, and have a knowing it is what you are meant to do, then you can’t go far wrong. You have nothing to lose yet everything to gain. https://www.jkrowling.com

Achievement is something accomplished, especially by superior ability, special effort, great courage, etc.. it can be anything that leaves you with a sense of achievement.

This is a time for diligence, keeping your head down and getting on with the job in hand. The famous Zen saying “Chop wood, carry water” comes to mind, which basically reminds us to take responsibility for ourselves. The Oxford dictionary description for Diligence is careful and thorough work effort.

The colours within the Solid Foundation card show productivity and wheels in motion. The yellow is ideas and the mental capacity needed for your work. The red for passion and action you are taking, without passion any work you do will be lacking in some way, it needs that red energy. Find out more about colour therapy in my article here on Colour

The deep blue helps mentally, stronger shades of blue supports the brain’s thought processes and aids concentration, and will boost your confidence. Violet helps to calm, enhance intuition and creativity. I feel there’s a protective energy from the ultramarine blue and an association with Archangel Michael, who is one of my main guides. You can learn more about this powerful Archangel on Diana Cooper’s website.https://dianacooper.com

The earthy brown is a very grounding and nurturing energy which is linked in the Solid Foundation you are working from. It will also gives that stability and earths your idea. Ginger may seem unusual, however it is a very warming nurturing colour. I’m feeling that making your work space as comfortable as possible is important, creating a conducive work environment.

Enjoy this productive period in your life, as you work towards a goal that you will be proud of, and that others will also benefit from.
